December to April is prime season. Rain is common, especially in May and from August to November. Washouts, however, are uncommon.

Getting married in Jamaica is a beautiful and easy experience. Couples can be married just 24 hours after arriving in Jamaica, provided they have applied for a marriage license in advance. Many hotels will assist with the arrangements and offer special packages that include the ceremony, government tax and other expenses. The requirements for US citizens are birth certificate, divorce papers if applicable, notarized parental consent if under age 18 years old, and copy of death certificate for widow/widower. Here are the details:
Administrative fees: U.S. $80
- -Waiting Period: 1 day
- -Certified copy of birth certificate which includes father's name
- -Apply and receive a marriage from the Minister of National Security
- -Proof of divorce or copy of death certificate-certified
- -Documented parental consent if either party is under 18 years of age
