- Hol Chan Marine Reserve-This is a 5 square mile area that includes the reef, seagrass beds, inside the reef and mangroves. It is illegal to fish here, but this is the home to Shark Ray Alley, which offers visitors the chance to swim along side Nurse sharks and sting rays.

Destination Wedding Information
Getting married in Belize is easy, whether you want a legal or a religious ceremony. Below are listed the requirements for a destination wedding in Belize.
Both parties must:- Be in Belize at least three days before applying for a marriage license. (This includes your arrival date.)
- Be present at the Registry Department in Belize City to fill out the application form. (The normal approval time is one week but with advance notice you are assured of getting it that same day.) Forms must be completed and signed in the presence of a Justice of the Peace (J.P.).

Present the following at the Registry Department:
- proof of citizenship in the form of an ID card or passport
- photocopies of your passport showing your picture and date of entry into Belize
- proof of marital status if widowed or divorced

You must bring along two witnesses which can be local volunteers willing to help
Legal Costs:- Marriage license - $100 US
- Legal ceremony in court - $5 US
- Religious officer - Varies (donations to the churches and schools welcome)
