A beach in Bonaire
Bonaire is a small island located in the southern Caribbean near Aruba and Curacao, making up what are often referred to as the ABC islands, part of the Netherlands Antilles. Known for its pioneering role in the preservation of nature, in particular the legal preservation of the marine environment since 1979, Bonaire has a reputation for excellent scuba diving, snorkeling, world-renowned windsurfing and other aquatic adventures like kayaking. On land one can simply relax and soak up the sun on the beach or embark on various eco-tours highlighting the islands flora and fauna.
