Tropical warm waterfall in Dominica's rainforest

Dominica

The "Nature Island of the Caribbean" has maintained its natural beauty as it’s less developed than most Caribbean vacation destinations. The mix of dry areas and dense mountainous rainforests with countless waterfalls, over 350 rivers, gorges and hot springs provides a habitat for many very rare plant, animal, and bird species. The world's second-largest boiling lake (a sight to see) is evidence that Dominica is still being formed by geothermal-volcanic activity. Caribbean flare can be tasted in the cuisine (try the national dish, the mountain chicken, made from crapaud giant frog legs) and heard in the calypso, zouk, and reggae music. Dominica is a great island for a romantic honeymoon amidst breathtaking scenery and that laidback Caribbean vacation feeling.
