North Carolina

North Carolina

North Carolina, extreme in its scenic beauty and moderate in climate, is the 10th most populous state in the US. It boasts a culture rich in  history and the  arts, and has world-class sports and recreational opportunities, which  make North  Carolina an exceptional place to live or visit. Renowned for its natural resources, North Carolina has more than 300 miles of  Atlantic coastline to satisfy honeymooners looking for sun, beach and water fun. Bordering the Coastal Plain are gently rolling hills known as The Piedmont, which extend from Virginia to Alabama. At the other end of the spectrum adventure seekers will find the Appalachian Mountains, the highest mountain  peaks east of the Rockies. Asheville is a popular tourist area in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a physiographic province of the larger Appalachians that is a gateway to two national parks, the Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountains national parks.
