Caribbean

The Caribbean is a region of the Americas consisting of the Caribbean Sea, some 7000 islands, islets, reefs and cays and the surrounding coasts. The islands support an exceptionally diverse range of ecosystems and are home to many exotic species, some of which are highly threatened. Most of these islands either were or still are colonies of European nations, which means there are a variety of languages spoken throughout The Caribbean.

A Caribbean honeymoon is the perfect setting for fun in the sun. Whether you're into soaking up the sun on the beach sipping on an exotic concoction, exploring the sea with scuba gear, fishing for exotic species, or taking in the local culture and flavors of your island of choice, The Caribbean offers something for everyone.

Activities
If you can think of it and it involves the water, the beach or lush greenness, you can do it in the Caribbean. Many places in the caribbean are ripe for snorkeling and Scuba diving. The water is warm and the marine life - fish and coral - is exceptional to see.
Climate and Weather
Most of the Caribbean islands, with the exception of the Bahamas and Bermuda, are located in the tropical zone and usually experience warm, humid conditions. The region experiences the northeasterly trade winds, which brings moisture from the Atlantic Ocean. Temperatures in the region are not significantly variable as they range from around 82ºF in the hotter months (July-August) to around 75ºF in the cooler months (January-February). Hurricane season begins in August and ends around the beginning of December.
