Vail

Vail

Vail is first and foremost a ski town. The town was established in 1966 at the base of Vail Ski Resort, which opened in December 1962. Vail is the second largest single ski mountain in North America and is host to other winter sports in addition to being a year-round destination for outdoor activities of all kind. Although skiing and snowboarding dominate in the winter, summers are increasingly popular for destination weddings due to average temperatures in the low seventies during the months of June, July and August. For honeymoons in the summer, hiking, horseback riding, golfing and fly fishing are just some of the activities available.
