Bushmans Kloof

Bushmans Kloof

About Bushmans Kloof

Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Retreat, located 170 miles north of Cape Town, is a 5-star ecological oasis, uniting luxury and nature, providing the ultimate wilderness experience. A sanctuary to many endangered species of fauna and flora and unique for over 130 San Bushman rock art sites, Bushman's Kloof is recognized as one of South Africa's Natural Heritage Sites. Guest rooms are either in cottages set among landscaped gardens and pools, or form part of the original Manor House (circa 1843), where the suites were named after early Scottish pioneers and explorers. Accommodating a maximum of 32 guests, all suites and guest rooms are elegantly appointed and furnished to create a feeling of restfulness and peace. All rooms and suites are air-conditioned, with ceiling fan, underfloor heating, direct-dial telephones, mini-bar fridges, and an in-room safe. The warm heart of Bushman's Kloof, the homestead, is set away from the guest rooms and welcomes guests to the convivial bar, a wine cellar, the world-ranked restaurant and a dining terrace. There are two stylish lounges, one with a large flat-screen television with DVD and satellite reception, and the other in traditional drawing room style for after-dinner drinks and conversation around the fireside. There is also a large wooden deck positioned in the cool shade of an ancient ficus tree with exquisite views of the River Boma, lush green lawns and the Boontjies River.
