Located on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip across from the McCarran International Airport, the Luxor is visible from anywhere in the Las Vegas valley at night. The main building is a 30-story onyx-hued pyramid with a really tall 315,000-watt light beam at the top, which the hotel claims to be the most powerful beam on Earth. Guest rooms in the pyramid open right onto the vast center that contains the casino while guests in tower rooms enjoy roomier accommodations.
