This award winning hotel is located on Ocho Rios (about a 3 hour drive from Montego Bay), but you won't find large free-form swimming pools and reggae piped from a sound system. What you will find is are people reading books in hammocks, eating an exquisite meal in the outdoor dining room or sipping a cool beverage from their room balcony or patio. There are no TVs, radios or clocks in the rooms here, giving couples ample time to enjoy their tropical environment, and one another.

I've already spoken about the dining, which is superb and caters to all tastes and diets )months later my travel companion was still raving about the corn beef hash). However, one of my favorite experiences was at Kiyara Spa. Receiving a massage in the spa gazebo - which sat on the cliffs overlooking the Caribbean sea - was the highlight of my stay here.
