I have been to Ocho Rios and Negril. The beaches are better in Negril because of the fine white sand. The beaches in Ocho Rios have golden sand and are not as wide. If you are a beach person, I would suggest Negril. However, Sandals Dunns River in Ocho Rios is an excellent property! We absolutly loved it. The people and the service are great. They really treat you like royalty. The standard rooms are a little small so I would suggest upgrading one or two levels. There are a lot of excursions you can do. The boat that takes you to Pickled Parrot is really fun. You can dive off of the cliffs there and there is also a rope swing.
