Hawaii: A Winter Wonderland?

How would you like to snowboard in the morning and surf in the afternoon? Sound impossible? Well it is very possible. The "Big Island" of Hawaii is home to Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, both peaks soar over 13,000 ft high. In the winter you can find snow on their peaks and later the same day you can surf on the Kona Coast. One of my favorite spots on the island is the Kona Village Resort. The guestrooms are thatched covered hales which come equipped with furnished porches, ceiling fans and refrigerators, but in keeping with tradition there are no TV's, phones or alarm clocks. Free kayaks,sailboats and snorkeling gear are just part of the all-inclusive amenities. All meals and snacks are included. I really love the relaxing atmosphere at Kona Village. And if you're looking for a perfect wedding site, wedding services are available. Don't miss out on the drama and beauty of Kilauea the only active volcano in Hawaii today. I also like the Royal Kona Resort with their panoramic ocean views from the restaurant.
