I just returned from visiting the re-opening of Couples Tower Isle Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and they have done a spectacular job! Couples Tower Isle, formerly known as Couples Ocho Rios, was the very first all-inclusive resort! The head-to-toe renovations have put a new twist on 1950's Hollywood glamour; it's got a great modern feel without losing any of the Jamaican charm.

The rooms are open and spacious with light yellow, light blue and white accents, flat screen TV's and a private patio or balcony. The Ocean Jr Suites offer amazing views, Jacuzzi Tubs, fully stocked mini bars and open showers with a view of the crystal blue Caribbean sea and large balconies.

The new pool with swim-up bar is beautiful and located right off the ocean; it also offers a nice shady location later in the afternoon. The private white sand beach is long with plenty of space so you are not on top of the other guests. It also offers some shady spots if the sun gets to be a bit too much. I love that they offer rafts both at the pool and the beach. The fruit kabobs offered on the beach are a nice touch on a warm morning.

Their own private island, Tower Isle, is still the au natural area of the resort, which is very popular with its own pool, swim-up bar and on demand water shuttle.

The dining was out of this world, each meal was better than the day before. 8 Rivers is the more formal dining experience and also hosts the repeat guest dinner on Monday night. The shrimp bisque, the new take on Beef Wellington and the fruit ice cream was delicious! Long pants are required for men. Bayside, the other specialty restaurant is on the far edge of the resort, it's open air and sits above the water. This is the most romantic restaurant on the resort and offers Caribbean infused Asian food. The appetizer plate for 2, Pad Thai and the fruit sushi for dessert are fantastic and highly recommended! You might even want to order a 2nd appetizer plate...trust me! The Verandah restaurant has a fresh and clean decor with teal, white and red colors. This restaurant is air conditioned and also over looks the water. The potato soup and stuffed chicken were so yummy! The Patio is the buffet restaurant and it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We found the choices to be many and the food was fresh and flavorful. The new Veggie Bar located right off the beach offers light and fresh options during the day, I highly suggest the Artichoke & Asiago Dip with Sweet Potato Chips, SO GOOD! The Pool Grill is a nice option for lunch and late night, the Jerk Chicken, Cheeseburgers and the Onion Rings are tasty! You will also find an ice cream machine for cones on demand!

One of my favorite things about Couples Resorts is that they tend to offer more activities than any other all-inclusive resort. At Couples Tower Isle, included activities are: Horseback Riding, Shopping Tour, Catamaran Cruise, Dunn's River Falls Tour, Snorkeling Trips and Water Skiing to name a few!

Besides the beautiful rooms, amazing dining and great inclusions, it is the wonderful staff that really pulls everything together. Everywhere you go on the resort, there are bright, smiling faces asking if you need anything and wishing you a wonderful day. Coming to Tower Isle is like coming home, it's comfortable and welcoming!
