One of my favorite properties for complete rest and relaxation is Secrets Huatulco. The rooms are very comfortable with tile floors, and modern decor. Our room boasted double sinks, a whirlpool tub and expansive views of the ocean. Many of the rooms also have a private plunge pool as well.

The spa is amazing and overlooks the gorgeous ocean. What is really magnificent, is that they have a wonderful co-ed hydrotherapy circuit, perfect for couples looking to enjoy their spa time together. The spa has both a large dry and steam sauna, as well as a unique outdoor pool with hydrotherapy jets. The jet massage provides welcome relief while you enjoy the breathtaking Pacific Ocean views.

Secrets also has several very nice restaurants with very good food. We enjoyed the daily buffet breakfasts and lunches, and then mixed it up for dinner each night in their Italian, French, Mexican, and Asian restaurants. On several nights, there were very nice outdoor buffets as well, as a night or two of local craft vendors on their outdoor patio.

Javier and Miguel, the activities personnel were energetic and fun! They really know how to engage couples, and offered entertaining quips and humor while teaching the aqua aerobics class and water volleyball games.

Part of the fun of staying at a Secrets resort is also having access to the nearby Dreams family property. Dreams has several beautiful large rock formations in the water, as well as an abundance of pools, and fun restaurants.

One of the highlights of this trip was the 7 bay jet-ski tour with our tour guide Luis. This is one tour not to be missed! We skied along the bays, and stopped at one of the pristine bays to do some fun snorkeling in the ultra-clear water. The bays were so beautiful, and looked untouched. Small sand crabs were abundant and fun to watch. The town itself is very quaint and charming and reminded us of Puerto Vallarta back in the 80's before the tourist boom.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this property for couples looking for uber relaxation, and serenity.
