Cruising Alaska on the Diamond Princess

I thoroughly enjoyed my cruise of the Alaska inside passage on the beautiful Diamond Princess. Since I have always wanted to visit Alaska as part of my quest to visit all 50 states, Princess Cruise Line offered the perfect opportunity!

Alaska ports of call include Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. These are all very quaint towns which welcome thousands of cruise passengers each summer with open arms. All of the ports offer many different shore excursions, including dog sledding, panning for gold, helicopter tours of the glaciers and salmon fishing.

On a Princess Cruise you will never be bored! Every evening there is entertainment in the main theater, as well as in most of the lounges. From Broadway production shows to Karaoke! During the day, when not in port, there are many activities available: trivia contests, a movie in the theater, bridge tournaments, and of course Spa treatments!

Since my cruise to Alaska, I have become a Princess Commodore. The course to obtain this rank, entailed several months of study. I gained a great deal of knowledge not only regarding Princess Cruise Lines, but also on many of their ports of call throughout the world. As you may have noted, I highly recommend both Princess Cruises and Alaska!
